More like Herbal Mehssences: Herbal Essence's "Body Envy" Shampoo
Figgy
You might remember how much I love my Herbal Essences "Hello, Hydration!" shampoo. My ridiculously fine, oily hair loves the stuff. The smell is amazing and never fails to wake me up in the morning. But...
You might also remember how I have the attention span of a gnat, and how every now and then I get the urge to try something new, even though the old works perfectly fine. Fixin' what ain't broke, that's me.
So while perusing the shampoo aisle at the Walmart (while my husband grumbled on about how there's five million shampoos for women and like, three for me) I was drawn to the pretty orange bottle of Herbal Essence's Body Envy shampoo.Well, it wasn't just the bottle. It also smelled really good. I have a theory that Herbal Essences drops in some mythical potions and shit into their shampoos, because they all smell freakin' amazing.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner: Save The Drama For Your Mama!
Vee
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner has gotten some good buzz around the beauty blogosphere for being similar to Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners but without the expensive price tag. I'm always up for a drugstore dupe so I picked up a pot in Espresso a few days ago and gave it a whirl.
I should have remembered that I hate whirling, twirling or spinning in general.

Quaker Soft Baked Bars Banana Nut Bread: Um, If You Say So
Pinky McLadybits
"I'm hungry," says me, all of the time. I just ate a ridiculously huge salad filled with spinach and lettuce, peppers, olives, beans, bacon, ham, cheese, and cucumbers. Seriously, it was bigger than my head. And I am still starving. I thought that this would be as good a time as any to give my Quaker Soft Baked Bars Banana Nut Bread a try.

Always Tampax Radiant: There Will Be Blood
Pinky McLadybits
WARNING: Ladies have monthly menstruation. That is life. If you are uncomfortable with the bodily functions of women then you probably don't want to read this review. Puss.
Full disclosure: I was selected by Influenster to receive a Summer Voxbox filled with products to review. I will be reviewing them whether I find them awesome or terrible.
Let me start with this: “The Radiant Collection was designed with girls’ unique style and feminine care needs in mind,” said Gaby Tartaret, Tampax Marketing, “Combining a stylish new look with a full line-up of premium products women have grown to trust from Tampax and Always, the Radiant Collection stands out among competitive, feminine care brands.”

Olay Soothing Cucumber Body Wash: I Smell Like a Damn Garden
The collection of body washes in my bathroom is staggering and, as I was rummaging around for my next scent, I came upon Olay's Soothing Cucumber infused with avocado oil. It seemed good; a moisturizing body wash with a fresh scent to send me off to work perky and ready to take on the world and not kill any co-workers.

Arctic Zero Coffee Frozen Dessert: Better Than Hamdingers
Pinky McLadybits
Every time I go to the grocery, I eyeball the hell out of the ice cream section. I check out the sleek lines of the ice cream bars. I lick my lips while reading the various flavor combinations on Ben & Jerry's pints. I wonder if the fancy gelato is worth the seven dollar price tag.
And then I usually walk away with nothing. Sure, sometimes Aunt Flo coerces me into buying just one pint of Cheesecake Brownie or maybe just one box of ice cream sandwiches, but these things are not conducive to my current eating program, kids.

Sticky and Shiny, Ugh: Clinique's Long Last Glosswear SPF15
Figgy
Y'all know how much of a sucker I am for Gifts-With-Purchase, right? So I don't really need to go into how I walked into Dillard's yesterday and bought a fancy Clinique lotion just for the free goodies.
OK, not just for it. I actually needed the lotion. Point is, I got a few goodies to review, and here's the first.
Alas, the Long Last Glosswear was a bit of a dud.

Liar!: Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer
Rusty
In a sad and futile attempt to break my addiction to Sephora and higher end beauty products, I went to the local Target to replace my face moisturizer and left with a bottle of Aveno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer. This was a mistake and will likely drive me straight back to the loving embrace of little black bags and price tags that make my bank account cry. While the Aveeno daily moisturizer does have some benefits, I appreciate the SPF 15 as one whose reaction to direct sunlight is only slightly less drastic than one of Anne Rice’s vampires. And it does help my skin feel less dry and tight during these winter months which is also nice. For the other benefits, I can’t say much for them.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips: Something of a Striptease
Pinky McLadybits
I did it! I bought some Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips! They were on sale for $7 and they had a cute argyle design called Prep's Cool so I went for it. I LOVE ARGYLE. They also had an adorable Peppermint Twist, the cute Check It Out, and several more to choose from.
For some reason, I had sweaty hands all day and had to wait until later at night to apply these. That was good, as sweaty hands would have royally screwed these strips up.

Bliss Baggage Handler Eye Gel: I Can't Work Up Any Vitriol, So You Must Be Alright.
Metric Jenn
I got this product on one of my many browsing trips to Sephora - Trips that are meant to keep my friends company. Trips wherein I don't buy anything because I was on a tight budget, but then....oooh...I could TOTALLY use this, I'll just buy this ONE lip gloss. And then a few minutes later: Oh! I do have bags under my eyes - I'm totally going to get rid of them. And we all know how the story ends: I spend around 150$, and don't eat for a week because I still have to pay rent.
And lo, ladies (and gentlemen?), this is how I came across the Bliss eye products. Which I can't in good conscience recommend to people - at least not without receiving a sizeable bribe.

Sometimes I Wonder How I Keep From Going Under: Jungle Solid Conditioner
Rusty
In the course of my mission to find a conditioner that leaves my hair light enough that it doesn’t stick to my scalp and require extra showering but moisturized enough that I don’t look like I spend my free time rubbing my head with balloons, I’ve gone through several brands. Mostly drug store brands, because I’m cheap. Given my luck with other products from Lush, though, I decided to give their Jungle Solid Conditioner a try.
I wanted to like this product. I like a lot of the stuff from Lush and the fact that it’s all environmentally friendly and hand made gives me a nice fuzzy feeling about my bath products that I don’t generally get when I buy products from Dove or Herbal Essences. Also, it was solid! How convenient is that for traveling and if you happen to have a gentleman friend whose shower you have to use maybe sometimes? Way easier to carry back and forth than a bunch of giant bottles.

Dude, Where's My Bar of Soap: Suave Men 3-in-1
Hey there, ladies. Sidles up next to computer. How you doin' tonight? Can I buy you a drink? Casually leans over, tucks a wisp of hair back behind your ear. Mmm. You smell nice. Real nice. Nice and clean. Did you wash your pants with Windex? Wink. Because I'm pretty sure I can see myself in them. Hey-o! High fives a bro that has appeared out of nowhere.
...Sorry about that. I don't know what's come over me. It's like I'm stuck in a bad rom-com sequel opposite Mel Gibson, What Women Don't Want You to Say to Them, and I'm a pert blonde lady who grapples with gender identity and dating etiquette. Or maybe it's just that I'm fresh off a week of using Suave Men 3-in-1 Shampoo+Conditioner+Bodywash and I just want you all to bask in my suave manliness. Actually, using this product did not make me any more sexist than I already was. Maybe just a bit more coarse.

Liq-squid? How NOT to apply Aqua Liner.
Which brings me to the eye-liner section. I am always on the lookout for a really gorgeous henna/kinda brown-kinda plum eyeliner. I am not usually a fan of liquid liner due to the time-consumption if you screw it up; which is inevitable for me no matter how practiced I become. I am truly a pencil liner girl. Never-the-less, Make Up Forever’s Aqua Liner #11 Diamond Burgundy for $23 caught my eye.
