Aveeno Body Wash: Energize Me So I Don't Feel Like Murdering Everyone At Work, Please.

Metric Jenn

It is the middle of winter, I have no vacation time left, and there is no winter sojourn down to Mexico in my future. My patience with everything and everyone is at an end, and it's a virtual Herculean Feat to get myself out of bed in the morning to go to work. Generally, I need SOMETHING new to motivate me, or just give me that little boost in the morning that isn't a ninth cup of coffee or meth-amphetamines. And so I turned to Aveeno for some help. I picked up the Energizing Body Wash with lemongrass, rosemary, and mint at Safeway about three weeks ago.  I paid 7.99$ for a 16 oz bottle, a bit on the more expensive side for body washes.

Olay Soothing Cucumber Body Wash: I Smell Like a Damn Garden

Metric Jenn

I love body washes. Seriously. It takes a regular shower and turns it into a tropical fucking vacation in my mind before I have to face the reality of a crap annoying day job filled with dealing with jerks and enough paperwork to take down an inebriated giraffe.

The collection of body washes in my bathroom is staggering and, as I was rummaging around for my next scent, I came upon Olay's Soothing Cucumber infused with avocado oil. It seemed good; a moisturizing body wash with a fresh scent to send me off to work perky and ready to take on the world and not kill any co-workers.

Washing Up With An Old Friend: C.O. Bigelow Grapefruit Body Cleanser

Cindy

Aaah...what's better than stepping into the shower with an old friend? How about if that old friend gently lathers you up with soft, foamy caresses? And what if that old friend smells delightful, like a sweet, ripe grapefruit--not too tart or overpowering?

No, sadly I am not talking about a Calvin Klein underwear model (would that it were so!) or my new bisexual lover (alas!), but rather my favorite body wash: C.O. Bigelow Grapefruit Body Cleanser. If I can't have another body in with me, this is the next best thing.

Its wonderful scent wakes me up, but doesn't linger too long...if you know what I mean.

Shower Like It's Your Birthday: Philosophy Birthday Cake Shower Gel

Rusty

One of the great things about being part of Sephora’s Beauty Insider program is that you get free little birthday gifts every year. I realize it’s a ploy to get me to buy stuff by forcing me to come to the store to pick up my gift or forcing me to order online to get them to ship it (since you can just ship the free gift alone) but I’m pretty much pro-free things in all aspects of my life and occasionally have the willpower to leave my local Sephora with nothing but my present. Occasionally.

This past year the free gift was Philosphy’s Vanilla Birthday Cake bath and shower gel and I only recently got around to using it.
