Joico Leave-In Detangler: Happy Happy Joy Joy?

Metric Jenn

Hey all, it's Metric Jenn here, once again! Now, I'm not going to lie...this review sat up in my brain, brewing away because I wasn't sure how to properly convey how this product works, not to mention how I felt about it. And so the image that you see of darling Ren & Stimpy may be a a macguffin...OR IS IT?

YOU MUST READ TO FIND OUT...after the jump!

EverStyle Curl Activating Mousse: More Like NeverStyle

MelBivDevoe

I tend to stick to the John Frieda line of curl products.  They've served me well over the years.  But the last time I went to pick up some curl activating mousse, I strayed from my usual stuff to try L'Oreal's EverStyle version instead.  Why?  For the simplest of reasons: I had a coupon.  And, sure, it sounded good.  It promised to give me full, bouncy curls without frizz and without the nasty stickiness that so many hair products produce.

When, when, WHEN will I learn that cheaper isn't always better?  That sometimes paying for better quality is worth it?

I guess I'm just slow sometimes.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color: Better Than Radioactive Color

Pinky McLadybits

Full disclosure: I was selected by Influenster to receive a Summer Voxbox filled with products to review. I will be reviewing them whether I find them awesome or terrible.

I have been eyeballing these polishes for a while and always found a reason not to buy them. I was delighted when the Voxbox I received had Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Polar Purple for me to try. SO EXCITED.

It gave me all of the motivation I needed to remove my previous polish and start again while watching Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

Cargo Bronzer: It Gets the Job Done-Kind of Like Cargo Shorts.

Metric Jenn

Hej! Glad att skriva för er alla igen! That means "Hello! Glad to be writing for you all again!" in Swedish. I've been slowly learning Swedish for the past year, and I still don't have the proper sentence structure down. And now you all are probably wondering WHY the hell would I be telling you this completely un-related story instead of talking about the Cargo bronzer I tried out. Well, to tell you the absolute truth? I don't have that much to really SAY about it that doesn't have a "meh" tone to it.

Keep reading, though, because of course my reviews are terribly amusing and worth it in the end.

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer: You Were Destined To Have A Flaw

Pinky McLadybits

While doing my cleanup of my makeup products, I had to throw out my Arbonne Makeup Primer. Arbonne products are not made to sit for long periods of time and I had already kept it past when I should have already tossed it. I was sad that day.

I decided to try a primer that we hadn't already tackled on here, so I chose e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer. We've reviewed so many e.l.f. products on here and loved them all. I was certain that I would be happy with their Primer.

Being wrong never gets any easier, in case you were wondering.

Neutrogena's 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes: 2 Out of 3 Ain't Bad, But 1 Out of 3 Is

MelBivDevoe

I have a hell of a time finding concealer for the dark circles under my eyes. No matter how much sleep I get, the puffy skin under my eyes makes me look like I haven’t slept in weeks, so I’m constantly trying to find something to smooth out and brighten the area.

Unfortunately, due to my incredible lack of makeup skills combined with my inability to find the perfect shade of concealer, this means that I’ve spent most of my days looking like a reverse raccoon, with half-moons of too-light makeup smeared under my eyes.

Sheer Ribbons? More Like Glue Ribbons

Nepoleanita

I was just at the grocery store scoping out the lotions because my current hand lotion is not cutting it in the battle against the generic hand soap at my new job. As I was staring at the bottle with glazed over eyes, I saw this...thing and did a double take.

What the hell is something that looks like mousse doing in the lotion section? Upon closer inspection, it is actually lotion. Gold Bond Sheer Ribbons Silk Softness lotion, to be exact.

I Mustache You, Hair Do I Get Rid Of This?

Author: Nora

I've recently noticed something different about my face. Out of nowhere, for inexplicable reasons, my upper lip has decided to start sporting a new look: a sparse, vaguely blond cropping of just-a-bit-too-long hairs. Coming from a family of smooth-skinned women (where apparently nobody encounters this problem before menopause), I've become slightly obsessed with finding a way to restore my upper lip area (ULA) to its original unnoticeable state. After a misguided attempt to pluck the hairs out one by one, I embarked on a quest to find the easiest, cheapest, most effective method possible. The results? Decidedly underwhelming.

NYC Extra Shiny Top Coat: Everything's Shiny, Cap'n!

Author: Pinky McLadybits

I love buying nail polish. I love wearing nail polish. I hate removing nail polish and I hate when I chip my polish. So what generally happens is I chip a nail or two but I'm too lazy to remove the polish. Not a good look. For anyone.

So, while in Target shopping for fake eyelashes and a birthday gift, I decided to buy some nail top coat. NYC was the cheapest by far and if you know me at all you know that price sealed the deal. I think I used a green shade of NYC's polish line in my Poison Ivy costume last year, but I can't recall. Maybe it was another inexpensive brand? Hmm, oh! Ahem. Onward!

Dry Me Out: Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo

Author: Rusty

Now I realize it will damage my reputation as a glamorous internet personality to admit this, but there are days when I maybe don’t get around to washing my hair. Or changing out of pajama pants. And then realize (inevitably, half an hour before the store closes) that I’m out of some vital bit of food, drink, liquor, whatever. So what’s a girl to do? How to leave the house in under five minutes without looking like I’ve been rubbing Crisco into my hair all day? This is why I purchased Oscar Blandi dry shampoo and why I’m here to tell you not to.
