Ardell Brow Defining Palette

Dixie

Until I started getting my eyebrows threaded, I never saw the importance of eyebrow products. Brow pencils and powders and gels mystified me. Why do I need those products? I have dark eyebrows already, so I don't need to enhance them!

Not true, ladies and gentlemen. My eyebrow artist impressed upon me the importance of the eyebrows to the overall look of the face. With just a touch of powder or pencil you can bring your face into focus, whether you're rocking an otherwise bare face or in full evening makeup. The eyebrow adds the finishing touch to the face.

Surgi Wax Brow Shapers: I'm Gonna Rip That Hair Right Out By The Root!

Pinky McLadybits

My eyebrows were getting crazy, y'll. Tweezing is always an option, but my bangs tend to cover my brows which causes me to forget they need dealt with until I apply makeup or something. At that point, I don't want the angry red welts above and below my brows. (Yes, I know that you really aren't supposed to pluck above your brows. I do what I want.)

Whilst browsing ULTA, I noticed Surgi Wax Brow Shapers. For Brows. They were $4.99 and boasted 28 applications. That sounded promising. If they failed, well, thank the God of Hair for bangs.

Tweezer Pleaser - Tweezerman Slant Tweezers

Vee

I am blessed to have my father's eyebrows. In my natural state it looks like two caterpillers crawled across my forehead and stopped right above my eyes (thanks, Dad!). I've plucked, waxed and threaded them down to about half their original glory, but I have a lot of maintenence in the old eyebrow area.

I tried countless drugstore tweezers from Revlon to those knock off cheapies. About 10 years ago I finally bit the bullet and bought the most expensive ones, the $20 Tweezerman Slant Tweezers . Ladies, I've never regreted it. These little guys are my eyebrow tool holy grail.

CVS Microwave Wax Hair Remover Kit: Deforestation of Your Face

Author: Pinky McLadybits

I love to wax my own eyebrows. I know that is odd, but I really don't care. Perhaps that makes me a masochist, as I enjoy ripping out those stupid hairs that make me look like maybe my father was part werewolf and my mother was a bearded lady. I may be exaggerating. Maybe.

During my CVS spree the other day, I decided I needed to replace my old eyebrow waxing kit. The one that wouldn't melt anymore? Yes, that one. It was totally gross and probably more than a year old. I tossed it, ran my errands, and somehow remembered to replace it that same day. Miracles, people. They happen every day.
