Gifts For Randoms: Ladies You Barely Know Edition

Pinky McLadybits

Ah, the holidays. When we get to spend time with family and friends, anxiously waiting to see if that perfect present thrills the recipient like we hoped it would, eating until we burst, getting roped into the office Yankee Swap or drawing the name of the smelly dude in accounting for the office party gift exchange, being guilted into buying presents for acquaintances and mailmen...Good times.

I'm here to help! Here are some gifts under $20 for those people that you feel obligated to buy for, but you don't really have any idea what to get them. Today we focus on the ladies.

eos Lip Balm: MUAH!

Pinky McLadybits

Kolby likes Target and is always finding treasures I didn't know existed. One day she was extolling the virtues of eos Lip Balm on Facebook and in a Google+ Hangout. I was intrigued by her love of the product and the cute packaging. I had to try it.

Off I went to Target, where I searched for the lip balms. They aren't in the makeup section of my Target, which I suppose makes sense. They were in the same aisle as cough drops and cold medicines. That makes no sense. Some of us need lip balm year round. Some people (Lainey) need about fourteen different lip balms in different places and different situations so put it with makeup! Anyway, I chose the Summer Fruit fragrance because I hate putting mint on my lips and selection was low.

Hurts So Good - EOS Shave Cream

Author: Kolby

So, last week I was in Target for the third time (that week...yeah), shopping for tissues and laundry detergent. I left with three bags filled with various items I didn't need and a healthy dose of guilt. My poor bank account. One of the products I most certainly didn't need was fancy new bottle of EOS Shave Cream, but I was so moved by the sight of it that I squealed - loudly - and was then forced to add it to my shopping cart by the slightly freaked out stares of my fellow shoppers.

I just HAD to buy it after flipping out for it, you see. The total strangers sharing the aisle with me that morning would have been so very disappointed if I didn't. Plus, it was on sale. So, yeah, that's all I needed to convince myself.

FYI - don't ever take me along on a shopping trip. It will become a spree within five minutes, and nobody needs to blow their mortgage on pumps. Ms. Thoughtful - that's me.
