Watch Your Feet for Cracks in the Pavement... and Aliens

If you're out and about in Ann Arbor, keep an eye on the sidewalks!  David Zinn is an incredible artist who uses the city as his canvas for his adorable and creative chalk drawings.  For the rest of us who aren't in Michigan, here's a collection of photos of his work.  (Pleated Jeans)

Oh, the things I've yet to learn about living in the South.  For example, people here eat something called a "snoot sandwich" that looks just as nasty as it sounds.  (CNN)

Remember the bus monitor who was bullied on video, which sparked a donation fund that raised over $700,00 for her?  She's giving back to the community that helped her by starting her own anti-bullying foundation.  (People)

Stacy London, one half of the fabulous "What Not to Wear" team, opens up about her struggles with body image and eating disorders in her new book, which is on sale now.  (Washington Post)

I'm Always in an 80's Daze

MelBivDevoe

I'm in love with this "Predator" poster from Tom Whalen and Dave Perillo.  You can catch more of their gorgeous retro designs in their upcoming "Around the World in an 80's Daze" exhibition at Gallery1988 in Santa Monica this month - or you can view more of their posters here.  (Laughing Squid)

Hmmm.  Better rethink those tin foil hats, conspiracy theorists.  (The Atlantic)

This is what happens when you cut family planning options and/or outright ban abortions.  (Jezebel)

I'm a fan of BuzzFeed, but their decision to share a video of a man committing suicide seems irresponsible to me.  It's one thing to report the story, but was it really necessary to include the video?  (Slate)

Palate cleanser - two adorable dads and their clan of zombie fighters!  If my parents had thought of this, I guarantee we'd have done more family portrait sessions.  (PseudoDad)

Mad Men Doesn't Flick My Bic, If You Know What I'm Sayin'

The most relaxing song in the world? Maybe for normal people, but as someone with anxiety/panic disorder, it only made my face feel weird and made me remember that I could be doing other things with my time. (The Hairpin)

Sometimes a movie has one shining piece of brilliance that makes you question whether the rest of the film really sucked or if you missed something. Apparently, some of the movies really do just suck. (The Awl)

Speaking of suck, I tried to watch Mad Men. I really did. But partway through the first episode and seeing all of the sexism was enough to turn me off. I get enough woman-bashing when I read comments from Republican candidates. I don't need it in my entertainment. So I understand why Lindsay Cross doesn't watch it either. (The Gloss)
