Pinky McLadybits
We all know that I suck at being a girl. I can't keep my nail polish on my nails. I can only walk in certain types of high heels. I like playing with makeup, but I'm no expert. So I've always been afraid of liquid eyeliners and what sort of mayhem they would create with my unsteady hand and inability to draw straight lines. Especially one in a bold color like purple.
Imagine my fear and excitement when my July Birchbox arrived with Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Purple! I was happy that I hadn't shelled out the cash for something I might hate (well, I paid the $10 monthly Birchbox fee, but the eyeliner retails for $15, so I called it a steal!). I was afraid that I would be passing along another high end product to someone better able to use it.
I have to say that this is the easiest eyeliner that I have ever use, liquid or pencil. I am so happy with this eyeliner's smooth application, color, and control that I would gladly buy another one when this one runs out. That is big praise coming from me, the Clearance Queen!
I wasn't sure what to do when I started playing with the Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner, so I did a thin line on one eye and a hugely winged line on the other.
These photos are SUPER UNFLATTERING, NO? Anyway, you can see that there wasn't any smearing of the winged liner and the simple line is thin and precise as well. That is crazy that I could do that. Where most liquid eyeliners smear or bleed, Eyeko didn't. I attribute that partly to the eyelid primer, but mostly to the Skinny Liquid Eyeliner itself.
The brush of the Eyeliner is long, thick at the base and thin at the tip. I used the tip to make the thinner line and exert more control when sketching the outline of the winged line. The thickness of the brush allowed me to fill in the winged line more easily than going over and over with the tip. Any time my hand strayed from the line, it was easy to smoothly fix it by thickening the rest of the line. I could also blink without ruining what I had done, speaking to the quick dry ability of the Eyeko.
I had no idea what to do with the rest of my lid once the liner was in place, but I gave it a shot with different colors on each lid. I was quite pleased with the results and will be very happy when someone tells me how to best use the Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in a cute everyday look, as well as a nighttime look. Vee?
I do love this Eyeliner, but I deduct one tentacle for cost.

I also have the liquid liner fear and when I got a black Eyeko pen in my Birchbox, I thought I'd probably never use it. I gave it a shot on my upper lashes one day and just as you said, it was super easy, didn't smear, and lasted all day. I'm very impressed!
