Pinky McLadybits
After reading Kolby's review of Maybelline's Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation and checking out the price online, I decided I needed to get some for myself. I had purchased some Cover Girl foundation that was supposed to be for sensitive skin, but it looked like shit on.
Target had three different types of the Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation: Liquid, Smooth, and Matte. The Liquid is for Normal Skin types, Smooth is for Normal to Dry, and Matte is for Normal to Oily. I chose the Smooth because, even with moisturizer that works really well, applying foundation tends to highlight every flake that was invisible before application.
It was difficult to tell which shade to get, as the lighting in Target isn't optimized for color matching and the containers the Dream Smooth Mousse shades are in hide the color well. I was annoyed. I ended up going with Creamy Natural. This version of the Dream Mousse comes with a little sponge applicator in the bottom of the container. Yay!I didn't use any primer before applying the Dream Smooth Mousse. When I opened the container the first time, I was annoyed. The color looked really dark compared to the swatch on the shelf and what I could see of it in the store. However, the color wasn't that dark when I applied it and it blended easily and without streaking, lines, or any problems. That is a DELIGHT. I first applied the foundation to the right side of my face. I could see that my skin was less red and the pores were slightly diminished, though nothing I wouldn't expect a foundation to do anyway.
I finished the rest of my face and was satisfied with the result. I checked my jawline and hairline in the bathroom and then again in the living room in natural light and by a lamp. Everything seems copacetic. The foundation is really light and a person could forget they were wearing any at all. There isn't any odd smell and my skin feels really soft and smooth. I'm going to agree with Kolby here, as I generally do about things unrelated to TIMMEH Tebow, and give Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse a high rating.
