Let the Winter Winds Blow: Eucerin Calming Creme Moisturizer

Author: MelBivDevoe

As much as it pains me to admit it, winter is coming.  (That's for you, nerds.)  And with it, cold, blustery winds and dry air.  While we can fight the cold with thick, cozy sweaters, hot mugs of spiced chai, and cranked up heat, our skin can't use these things to protect itself from winter weather damage.  That's where Eucerin's Calming Creme Daily Moisturizer comes in.

Cold, dry air is bad enough, but adding dry heat to it means a huge loss of moisture for your skin.  And as most of you probably know, dry skin is itchy skin.  In addition to moisturizing ingredients, Calming Creme contains oatmeal which acts as an anti-itch ingredient.  It soothes your skin and keeps you from scratching nonstop.

Too many lotions out there are watery and goopy and leave you feeling like a slimy amphibian after applying.  Not this lotion.  It's thick and is absorbed quickly, so it doesn't leave behind a greasy or oily feel.  It's also unscented, which your coworkers will enjoy (no one wants to be the smelly lady at work - the one constantly smearing stinky lotions on herself).  Recommended by dermatologists, it can be used to treat more serious problems like eczema but is safe enough for daily use.

You can find Calming Creme at most stores like Walmart or online at Drugstore.com.  The 8 oz. tube sells for around $7 and the 14 oz. is around $10, but I usually buy the travel size tubes for around $1 each and stash them all over - I put one in the bathroom, the bedroom, my desk at work, my purse & my car.  It's an absolute winter must-have for me.  I give Calming Creme an 8 out of 8 tentacles.

Rating: 8/8 tentacles
