Boop! Here Comes Monday Again

MelBivDevoe

Well, this is odd, but kinda neat, too, if you're a fan of "Parks and Recreation."  Nick Offerman is putting his famous mustache up for auction for charity.  That's right, you can own Ron Swanson's actual mustache!  (Vulture)

On Friday, I shared with you a video of Lauren Conrad hacking apart some books to make a stylish box.  The books she destroyed were from the popular "Series of Unfortunate Events" line by Lemony Snicket.  Here, Mr. Snicket himself responds to Conrad's horrific actions.  Well played, sir.  Well played.  (Slate)

"Baby Got Back" Should Be the Official Hump Day Anthem, Right?

MelBivDevoe

When this student turned to Yahoo! Answers to help him blow off a school reading assignment, there's no way he expected a reprimand from the author of the book he was avoiding.  This was one of the rare instances where Yahoo! Answers was actually useful.  (MSNBC)

Would you consider sleeping in a separate bed from your partner if it meant you'd get a better night's sleep?  Me, I'm a cuddler, but I bet my husband would love a bed of his own.  It's difficult to sleep when your partner tosses and turns all night!  I pity those who have to deal with snorers, too.  (Salon)

ANIMAL! ANIMAL! LIKE WOMAN!

Pinky McLadybits

While watching the previews before The Dark Knight Rises with Metric Jenn on Saturday, we both cackled like fiends at the trailer for The Campaign. I'm guessing that the three minutes in a hotel room with Ferrell and Galifianakis were just as hilarity-inducing. (Dallas News)

I think it might be cool to like Starbucks again, what with their philanthropy and awesome stance on same-sex marriages. Let us see which state has the most Starbucks, shall we? (I Love Coffee)

Hat tip to Mswas for this adorable photo and story. I'm not sure where it originated, but she linked to imgur with it. (imgur)

Have you ever been to IKEA and thought, "If only they had beer here to go with my futon and reasonably priced meatballs."? GOOD NEWS, CHUM! (Geekosystem)

World's Most Famous Party Crasher Announces Summer Tour (In My Dreams)

MelBivDevoe

Oh, how I wish this first story were true.  If it were, I'd start making my sign right now.  I would LOVE to have Bill Murray crash at my place.  Who wouldn't want to sing karaoke with him??  (Super Official News)

This, on the other hand, is a true story, sadly.  Apparently, two strip clubs in Florida are fighting over the "right" to feature Octomom Nadya Suleman as a dancer.  Why on Earth would you want to pay money to watch that woman strip?  (HuffPo)

Ugh, I feel icky from that last link.  Time for a cute chaser!  Here's a slideshow of a Shar Pei who took in a couple of abandoned tiger cubs.  (SF Gate)

Pinky Made the Mistake of Letting Me Have Free Reign with Today's Hot Links

Tamatha

It's summer, (maybe not technically, but come on, it's summer) which means it's time for all that summer reading you want to do.  Perhaps you are looking for some recommendations?  This collection should keep you busy. (NPR)

OK, while I was looking for that link, I found this fascinating story about Dorothy Parker and how her ashes came to be interned at NAACP's headquarters in Baltimore. (NPR)

One more link for book recommendations (you know your book stack isn't quite high enough, because it hasn't toppled over and trapped you yet).  Last year, I coordinated Cannonball Read III for Pajiba, and the Cannonballers came up with this great list of the best books they read for CBR-III. April Fool's Day Was Yesterday. I Hate That Day.

Pinky McLadybits

Yes. I hate April Fool's Day. I do, however, enjoy reading about good pranks. I'm an enigma wrapped in a bitch tortilla. Here are some pranks to make you giggle. (Gawker)

Lifehacker has a comprehensive, and ever-changing, list of websites and their chosen April Fool's Day pranks. This is always fun too. (Lifehacker)

I'm done with the prank links. These cakes are not lies. (CakeWrecks)

From perfect cakes to terrible cover art, here are the Worst Album Covers of All Time. OF ALL TIME! (tastebuds)
