Beloved author and illustrator Maurice Sendak passed away yesterday at the age of 83.  NPR's "Fresh Air" offered a look at his life and legacy with this collection of interview highlights.  RIP, Mr. Sendak.  (NPR)

In case you're not all cried out from that link, here's an inspiring story about a paralyzed woman who recently finished the London Marathon.  She also managed to raise over $100,000 for paralysis research.  She's pretty amazing.  (Telegraph)
