Too Much Pumpkin? No Such Thing!

MelBivDevoe

Today is definitely not the day that I tire of pumpkin anything.  Like this recipe: pumpkin chai oatmeal blueberry muffins.  That's a whole lotta deliciousness in one muffin!  Oh, and they're vegan, which I'm sure will please some of you.   (LunchBoxBunch)

In need of a good laugh today?  These photos from "Young Me, Now Me" should do the trick.  It's nearly impossible not to laugh at adults trying to emulate the expressions they made when they were toddlers.  (Pleated Jeans)

Good news if you grew up loving "Tiny Toons" (and if you didn't, I kinda feel sad for you): You can now catch the epic "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" movie on YouTube in its entirety!  (Gizmodo)

Are people needlessly sexualizing little girls if they wear leopard print?  Look, if leopard print automatically equals "sexy," then someone better tell these Hello Kitty dolls to clean up their acts.  I don't see anything wrong with young girls wearing fun prints, but I think the pink bikini on this page is cut rather skimpily for an 8 year old, no?  (Jezebel)

Wednesdays Are For The Dogs. Sorry.

Kolby

Well, a good day to you all!  I hope you're having a halfway decent week.  Onto the links!

A horribly ugly Pekingnese was named Best In Show at Westminster last night.  Seriously, those dogs are scary.  (ESPN)

Well, okay, dying your old white Macbook is one do-it-yourself project I don't recommend trying, but I'm linking to it anyway, just in case following advice ain't your bag.  (BrainDeadLock Labs)

Hey, maybe it's the background that makes all those formal prom photos look so awkward.  Then again, maybe not.  (imgur)

If Today's Not Donald Glover Day, It Should Be

Kolby

Happy Hump Day, my little worker bees.  Only two more days of axe grinding before the weekend.  You can almost smell the promise of lazy from here.  Enjoy today's hot links on breaks from watching the clock!

Hey, maybe those kooky Mayans were correct after wall.  Here are 12 Ways the World Could End in 2012.  (Popular Mechanics)

Today's lucky number must be twelve, because that's how many drinks Starbucks has on their secret menu.  Your wallet will be so pleased.  (Chime. In)

If you've ever spent days or weeks agonizing over each year's Grammy nominations, attempting to predict the winners, well....well, you're probably in need of more help than this little chart can provide.  Godspeed to you.  (Esquire)

Happy Thursday! HAPPY LINKS ONLY!

Pinky McLadybits

Yesterday I linked to a Starbucks made of old shipping containers. It was pretty sweet. But this? This is even better. I'm making a special trip to Starbucks to show my support of this. (Seattle Times)

Speaking of things and people that rock my face off, here's Dave Grohl making an excellent point. (via Popurls)

Here's some good news: Stricter school lunch guidelines from the USDA. Keep in mind that schools have to offer the fruits and vegetables, but parents have to teach their children to make the right choices. So. It's a start! (CNN)

Guess what? MORE AWESOME. Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated $750 MILLION to help combat AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. (Huffington Post)

Starbucks Via Breakfast Blend: When You Are Too Lazy To Work A Coffeepot

Pinky McLadybits

When I wake up in the morning I want coffee and I want it before I had to wake up. Since my coffeemaker is cheap and I am half-stupid when I make the coffee, I usually end up with slightly burnt or too strong of a brew. Then I have to use half a container of flavored creamer, compared to my usual third of a container of creamer, just to make it palatable. It's stupid and I miss my one cup coffeemaker with the pods. SIGH.

Then Starbucks introduced their line of instant coffees called VIA. I don't usually get coffee from Starbucks since it tastes like burnt hair, but my lazy overwhelmed my tastebuds and I decided to give VIA a shot. I chose the Breakfast Blend because it is described as mild.

Gifts For Randoms: Ladies You Barely Know Edition

Pinky McLadybits

Ah, the holidays. When we get to spend time with family and friends, anxiously waiting to see if that perfect present thrills the recipient like we hoped it would, eating until we burst, getting roped into the office Yankee Swap or drawing the name of the smelly dude in accounting for the office party gift exchange, being guilted into buying presents for acquaintances and mailmen...Good times.

I'm here to help! Here are some gifts under $20 for those people that you feel obligated to buy for, but you don't really have any idea what to get them. Today we focus on the ladies.

Hot Ink Deals of The Day: Red & Black Corset, A Dark Knight, and Savings

Pinky McLadybits

The Food Network Store has 50% off and free shipping on Guy Fieri knife sets. The handles have some sort of swoop and star design. Yep.

The Disney Store has Dooney & Burke purses that are new as well as some that are on sale.

Barnes & Noble has 20& off Elf on the Shelf items. Elf on the Shelf is a way to get your kids to behave around the holidays. I used to use fake coal to get Pinky Jr. in line, but she's so nosy that she figured out it was candy. Though she did think Santa turned it into candy...
