Welcome to My Nightmare

That horrifying header image comes from today's nightmare fodder, "50 Shades of Ray."  I may never have another sexual fantasy again.  Ever.

Fans of "Community" and/or "Doctor Who" will love this video - the first episode of "Inspector Spacetime" - wait, no, due to copyright issues, it's called "Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time."  Whatever, it's still super nerdy and fun! (Nerd Approved)

Can you imagine a "Titanic" that starred Jeremy Sisto (of "Clueless" and "Suburgatory") instead of Leo DiCaprio??  This screen test shows what could have been - and it's just plain weird to see someone else in Leo's place.  Sisto definitely brings a different energy to the role of Jack.  (Vulture)

Ah, fashion.  There have been some strange trends in the past, like this one from the 1940's.  Why didn't the monocle veil ever catch on?  Oh, right.  Because it looks dumb.  (Neatorama)

I Fell in Love in the Library, Once Upon a Time

MelBivDevoe

I could spend all day looking at the gorgeous libraries in this first link.  That image to the left is from Priceline.com founder Jay Walker's personal home library - and that shiny object hanging from the ceiling?  Sputnik.  Seriously.  (Beautiful-Libraries)

One book I'm sure you wouldn't find in Erica Jong's personal library would be "Fifty Shades of Grey."  Here, she and other notable erotica experts discuss the book's sexual merits (as opposed to its literary merits - or lack thereof).  (Velvet Roper)

Hot Links: Monday Is Not A Funday

Pinky McLadybits

Beyonce and Jay-Z had their baby on Saturday. A baby girl named either Blue Ivy or Ivy Blue. All hail the Chosen Child of Pop Music! (People)

3D technology useful?!? UNPOSSIBLE. Medical students using it? Okay, maybe it is useful for that stuff. Maybe. Do they have to pay extra tuition for the 3D glasses? (The New York Times)

I love my local library. I always vote to pass the levies or whatever they're called to support the library. I feel like they are more important than ever when people are in such dire monetary straits. Anyway, the smell is definitely part of the appeal. But, why does the library smell so academic? (POPSCI)
