It's been a bad couple of days, hasn't it?  Our hearts go out to the community of Newtown, CT.  

Every news website I opened today had nothing but news about the shooting and stories about gun control and arguments over mental health issues.  And I looked for uplifting stories - something, anything to show how there's still GOOD in the world, now, when we need it so much.  

I found nothing there but speculations and arguments and I just didn't want to contribute to the negativity.   So, I apologize, but today will be all fluffy, light links.  Because my heart just can't take the darkness right now.  I hope you'll enjoy what I offer instead.

I love elaborate holiday decor as much as the next person.  But sometimes, driven the desire to impress, people go a little overboard.  I'm not talking about excesses of Griswold proportions.  I'm talking about the ones who stray from the usual decor and end up with the weird stuff.  Like the deer hanging from the tree over there.  Such festive blood!

I like decorating my house for Halloween. If I had my way, I would have zombies climbing out of the flower beds, ghost hanging from the trees, vampires peering around tree trunks, orange and purple lights on the house, and psychotic killers hiding around the corner of the house.

Alas, I am married to a guy that hates decorations for all holidays. It's crazy. It makes me crazy. It probably makes him more crazy since I disregard him. He should be thankful that I only want the Halloween decorations that I do. He should realize that things could be much, much worse. I could have my heart set on some of these idiotic decorations.

We've all seen them: Christmas decorations, ornaments, sweaters, odds and bobs that are so ugly, misplaced, or ill-conceived that you just shake your head in amazement, snap a picture on your cellphone, and then laugh hysterically with your friends about them later. Well, I scoured the internet to bring you some of my very favourite ridiculous Christmas decorations; and as an added treat, I included bonus pictures from my time spent in Seoul, South Korea.
