Cinnamon & Sugar and White Chocolate Peppermint Pringles: 'Tis the Season, I Guess

Mel Biv Devoe

It's an understatement to say that the holidays are a very lucrative time of year for most companies.  And everyone wants a piece of the pie... which sometimes leads those who aren't usually associated with Christmas to come up with wacky ideas in order to goose their profits.  Like Pringles, for example.  They make potato crisps, which are similar to potato chips in theory, at least.  Did you know Pringles are made from dried potatoes, which are combined with wheat and flour?  They're like a slurry of ingredients that are pressed and fried into potato crisp-shape.  I guess "crisps" is a more appealing name than "potato, wheat, rice, and corn slurry."

What was I talking about again?  Oh, right, Pringles is trying to cash in on all the holiday hubbub with several limited edition flavors.  I found two of these flavors, Cinnamon and Sugar and White Chocolate Peppermint, and decided to give them a try.  Because even if it's not the healthiest of snacks, I do love me some potato crisp slurry.

Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals Cracker Chips: Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato

Pinky McLadybits

I am always looking for new snacks, especially since I'm always hungry. I always want the things I shouldn't have, like nachos, potato wedges drenched in cheese, brie, chili cheese fries...notice a pattern? CHEESE. MY less than impressive QUEENDOM FOR CHEESE! I'm a regular Wallace.

I was searching for a snack when I saw Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals Cracker Chips. Cheddar and sour cream chips. Or close enough to chips that it shouldn't matter, I hoped. Oh, man, did I ever hope.

Well?

Touchdown In My Mouth!: I Just Mean Food And Drinks

Pinky McLadybits

I really enjoy football and I look forward to it every Sunday. As most of you well know, this Sunday is Super Bowl XLVI. The New England Patriots will play the New York Giants in Indianapolis and I will cheer for the Giants. If you need to ask why then Tracer hates you. Just so you know.

I also love Super Bowl parties. Beer, chips, finger foods, desserts, beer, what's not to like? Nothing. Nothing is not to like. There are some foods and drinks that I always like to see at a Super Bowl party and I thought I would share those with you. Feel free to chime in with your favorites in the comments.

Special K Cracker Chips: Step Aside, Potato Chips, There's a New Snack in Town

MelBivDevoe

It's an uphill battle to get me to eat healthier.  I like fatty, greasy junk food.  And anything salty and crunchy, like potato chips.  Sometimes, for lunch, I'll just eat a big bag of chips and nothing else.  And then I wonder why my pants won't button.

So when the hubs brought home some Special K Cracker Chips the other day, I was intrigued.  (Full disclosure:  my hubs works part-time for Kellogg's and was given one free box of the Sour Cream & Onion to sample.)

Unclean Bars of EVIL; Kashi Chewy Granola Bars (Dark Chocolate)

Figgy

I take food seriously. Maybe a little too seriously. But, dammit, food should be good and it should make you care, and it should matter, and nothing will ruin my day like eating a bad meal. It takes me a lot to forget a bad food item. You could insult my mother and I'd forget it faster than I would if you gave me something disgusting to eat.

I wouldn't forgive you if you gave me a Kashi Chewy Granola Bar, is what I'm saying. These bars made me angry. I may or may not have taken one bite of these, made a face and thrown it at the ground while screaming "UNCLEAN!" I should've known. I've never had a Kashi product I've actually liked. Their cereal tastes like Evil bird seed and I should've known!
