Luna Lemon Zest Bar: goop Has Chosen Me

Pinky McLadybits

This month, subscribers to Birchbox were asked if they would prefer their goodies to be "curated" by goop (Gwyneth Paltrow. Paltry, as I call her when we lunch.). I, of course, chose the goop box, visions of face cream made from unicorn placentas, Coldplay tickets, and my very own yoga instructor dancing in my deranged head.

Guess what I didn't get in the goop box?

However, Paltry did give me, and everyone else if my friends are any indication, Luna Lemon Zest bars. I have never had a Luna bar, nor have I had any inclination to eat a Luna bar. This one was freeish and specially chosen for me...and all of my friends. I expected that eating this bar will turn me quite blonde and quite pretentious.

So Relaxing: Made From Earth Lavender Calm Soap

Dixie

Full disclosure: Made From Earth provided me with a free bar of soap to try and review. Had I not liked the soap, no review would have been written.

I have a weakness for soaps. And I have a weakness for a good lavender. Finding a good organic soap has gotten easier in the past few years, but finding a good lavender is still hit and miss. Some lavender products smell like old lady laundry, some hardly have any lavender smell at all. Neither of those things are particularly relaxing. But a good lavender can help you start your day off right - nice and relaxed before you go to work and all hell breaks loose.

Made From Earth Vitamin C: Nothing Compares to You

Metric Jenn

Note: This product was provided to me by the company for a review; had I not liked the product there would not have been a review posted.

Well, it seems that I've now become a hippie, overtaking Tamatha and Dixie as the Earth Mother of this small piece of internet heaven. I'm not usually particular about things I throw on my body, meaning that I don't feel the need to make sure that everything is green and organic and whatnot. My face has taken a beating from chemical crap, and I still look alright (I *think*!), so when I was presented with the opportunity to try something new, I thought "Why not? I've suffered through leprosy with Aveeno, this can't possibly be as bad!"

I'm about to Get Up on My Soapbox: Made from Earth's Blood Orange Soap:

Tamatha

For fall, winter, and spring, I am all about the shower gel.  But summer?  That's another matter all together.  In the summer, I want something that is going to leave my skin feeling nothing but clean.  I want something that's going to cut right through the sweat and sunscreen.  I want to leave the shower feeling like I'm the cleanest thing on the whole effin' planet.  In the summer, I break out the bars of soap.

100% Meh: 100% Pure Red Wine Resveratrol Scrub and Mask

Cindy

I'm a girl who prefers to use anything natural when she can. I don't make my own face scrub or conditioner or cleaning products, but I have been known to slather my head in olive oil (and lately the wonder stuff, coconut oil).

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find good, natural products. I've looked around at both my local health food store and Target and been unable to find much of anything in the way of facial scrubs. But, after reading Tamatha's plea for us to ditch the apricot scrub we all seem to use, I went on a great Google hunt and came across a brand called 100% Pure.
