Here's the Guv'ner, Mrs. Bagnet: Lush Guv'ner Powder Deodorant

Dixie

So, it appears that I am still on my quest for a deodorant that suits my natural scent and works through the day. As I wrote in my review on the Lush Aromaco and Coconut deodorant, I felt the Coconut wasn't quite right for me, that it matched my natural scent too closely and therefore didn't really deodorize. I think that I still stand by that. (Who knows if that will be a permanent stance though. The body is weird.)

Ultra Effective: Arm & Hammer UltraMax Deodorant

Vee

I live in Houston,  the armpit of Texas.  It gets hot and muggy starting in April and stays that way until October.  You get sweaty and oily just walking from your door to your car so when it comes to deodorant, I need something that works.

I ran out of Secret Clinical Strength deodorant and was at the ghetto grocery that didn't carry the $10 deodorant I usually buy.  I spied some Arm & Hammer UltraMax varieties for about $2.50, so I picked one up in Powder Fresh to hold me over til I could get to Target.

Hot Tip: Getting Deodorant Streaks Off Your Clothing

Dixie

This tip comes to us today courtesy of my friend Samantha. Ever since I've been wearing deodorant, I've dealt with the same problem we all occasionally do - white steaks of deodorant on my shirt. Normally, I would remove the streaks by rubbing them with a slightly damp washcloth. It works very well, but it does leave your clothes a bit damp. One day at work Samantha noticed that I had a streak on the bottom of my shirt. She told me a better way to get rid of it - simply take another section of shirt, flip it inside out, and vigorously rub the deodorant streak. Violá! The white streak is gone and your shirt is dry.

Degree Women Natureffects With Absorbing Sea Salt: Better Than Nothing

Pinky McLadybits

I am so sad because I have been unable to find my favorite deodorant, Secret Smooth Effects. This makes me entirely too sad, as it is just a toiletry product. But it is one that works and smells pretty. )And I just found it on Amazon....)

Instead of my Secret, I decided to try Degree Women Natureffects With Absorbing Sea Salt. I didn't realize sea salt was something I would want smeared under my arms, so I was intrigued. I also thought that I had heard good things about Degree deodorant overall, so I was willing to see if it could replace my beloved.

Crap on a Stick: Lady Speed Stick "Invisible Dry" Deodorant

Figgy

Let's talk about something that's both super sexy and attractive: Sweat and armpits! Mmm, can you feel the SEXY?

Ugh, I grossed myself out. Let me throw some other sexy words at you: Pit stains, unnappealing smells, deodorants that smell like baby ass, deodorant stains on your pretty black shirts. It's all a real pain in the ass.

The point is: it's been 28 years and I haven't found a deodorant that does the full job- keep the sweat at bay, doesn't smell like funeral flowers (or baby ass) and doesn't leave stains on my clothes. Was the Lady Speed Stick the answer? After all, it claimed to be perfect for wearing black--wait, it told me to 'dare to wear black!' and because I am a daring woman, I took the challenge. Did it work?

You Can At Least Smell CLEAN If You're Not Going To BE Clean

Author:Lainey

I like things that smell like fresh laundry.  My Bounce lint roller is one of my favorite things, because not only is it functional and removes lint (ok, fine, cat hair.  It removes cat hair), but it also makes me smell like I just walked out of the dryer.  One of the ladies was talking about the CLEAN line of fragrances and it sounded like something I would like, so I bopped over to Sephora.com to check out their product lines.  I settled on a dry shampoo and a deodorant.
