Don't Wake Me Up If I'm Dreaming...

  MelBivDevoe

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Stop sleeping at work and get ready for links!

One of our sisters over at Persephone Magazine has a great op ed on how you're never too old to conquer your dreams.  It's a pretty inspiring read.  (Persephone Mag)

Speaking of inspirational, this photo spread of "Bodies We Want" might have you recommitting to your fitness goals.  Or, it might just send you to your bunk.  NSFW for some tasteful nudity.  (ESPN Mag)

Should you decide to start working out, when's the best time to do it?  According to this article, morning is the best time to get moving.  (FitSugar)

Direct TV recently pulled all Viacom channels from its lineup due to a contract dispute.  Now, Viacom has pulled online episodes of its shows in retaliation.  There are no winners here, only a**holes.  (Gawker)

Today is Friday the 13th.  Do you suffer from triskaidekaphobia?  (National Geographic)

Katie Holmes is reportedly considering changing Suri's name.  Won't changing her six-year-old's name just cause her confusion and stress, neither of which Suri really needs more of at the moment?  (Crushable

I think the creator of these "Magic Mike" pie charts got a little confused.  McConaughey and his bongos are not a turn-on.  Dude's too greasy for my tastes.  (The Hairpin)

I want to print this "Open Letter to Teenagers Wanting Babies" onto leaflets and then drop them all over town.  Maybe we should all do that.  (The Stir)

Time for some eye candy.  How about a slideshow of nothing but Ian Somerhalder (Damon on "The Vampire Diaries") doing what he does best - smoldering?  (BuzzSugar)

No cell phones in yoga class means no cell phones.  Unless, of course, you work for Facebook.  Ridiculous.  (Mercury News)

For the first time EVER, there will be more U.S. female athletes at the Olympics this year than male athletes.  USA!  USA!  (The Mary Sue)

Speaking of amazing women (What? Olympic athletes are pretty amazing), comedian/actor/all-around lovely lady Amy Poehler has started her own YouTube series "Ask Amy" where she answers viewer questions.  Here's the first episode, "Makeup."

I think these guys are lying about not liking "Somebody That I Used to Know."  In any case, they can't deny its power.

  1. The two dudes remind me of that part in Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle when they were starting off with Amy Grant and then going hardcore with Wilson Philips. AND I LOVE THAT PART SO HARD.
