March Madness: Three Weeks Of Built-In Excuses For Your Crazy

                                                                    Kolby

It's Thursday!  The NCAA Tournament begins today.  I had predicted that Syracuse would win the whole damn thing, but then their star center (Fab Melo, so cool) had to go and lose eligibility.  For blatant dumbassery.  I will hunt him down and smack him upside his idiot head if Kentucky ends up winning the trophy.  Anyway, Links.

So, to start us off on the right foot (or left, we don't discriminate at Hot Ink), here's an interesting gathering of March madness tidbits to tickle your brain.  (ArsCentral)

Damn it, I knew I should have stolen that over the door shoe organizer from the last place I lived.  I love homegrown basil!  (Green Upgrader)

Now that the weather's warmer, the roads are safer for those high-speed car chases we all love to watch.  None of them ever seem to live up to these, though.  Shame.  (Complex)

A new species of Leopard Frog has been found in New York City.  And it's adorable!  (Wired)

Turns out working too much ruins people's lives.  Shocker.  (Boing Boing)

Here's one Starbucks where even the coolest java snob would feel comfortable ordering a nonfat no-whip mocha.  (Laughing Squid)

This may be the cutest DIY project ever.  (Pinterest)

New guidelines advise less frequent pap smears.  I don't know, guys.  I mean, don't get me wrong, pap smears suck, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume cervical cancer sucks way worse.  (The New York Times)

And here's a quick little how-to for the gents out there.  Who knew there were so many ways to tie a tie?  (The Art of Manliness)

Well, it looks like skinny jeans are here to stay.  And in bright colors and tacky patterns, too!  Lucky us!  (LadyLux)

HBO has abruptly cancelled "Luck" after three horses died on set.  Not at the same time or anything, but still.  The poor things.  (Pajiba)

Like he does every year, President Obama has filled out a bracket for this years's Tourney.  I'm pulling for him.

Ooh, and finally, a neato bandito little video featuring some of the ridiculously delicious dishes served at last night's state dinner honoring British Prime Minister David Cameron.  Mmmm, lemon pudding.
