Eco Tools Eye Brush Set: Simple and Inexpensive!

Author: Nepoleanita

I was wandering around Target the other day and I ended up in the makeup section as usual. I was looking for a new giant bag to put all my makeup in, because my current bag is overflowing. I got this one. Ain't it cute?

But that's not what I'm here to tell you about. As I was justifying buying the makeup bag, I glanced at the tools and brushes and a brush kit jumped out at me, for one reason in particular:

This brush.

I had just been in Sephora earlier that day looking for that exact brush and I couldn't find one. And here it was, staring me in the face. I snatched up the kit for closer examination. Turns out, it's a really amazing set of brushes.

There are five brushes of various sizes that are held in a canvas flap dealy with a mirror in it. The kit is small when all folded up; about five inches long, two and a half to three inches wide, and maybe half an inch thick, which makes it great for travelling. The brushes are shorter than the average makeup brush at about four and a half inches long, which may be problematic for some, but is just fine for my tiny short-person hands.

According to the product info, the majority of the kit is made out of natural or recycled materials, so it's cruelty-free and you can feel good about buying it.The brushes themselves are decent quality. The bristles of the brushes are synthetic, but just as soft as natural hair bristles I've used before. They grab a good amount of powder and are good at smearing said powder on your eyelids, which is their main purpose in life after all. Each brush helpfully tells you what you're supposed to be doing with it, which is handy if you generally just wing it like I do.

But overall, the best part about this brush kit is absolutely the price. The whole thing comes in at $7.99, which is significantly less than the price of one makeup brush at some places.

  1. I picked it up in the area where there's a lot of random makeup stuff that's not associated with any particular brand. And I was near the makeup organizers and bags.
